PLS Access Programmes
At PLS Tutors, we collaborate with schools and educational institutions to deliver bespoke maths support through two main initiatives: Targeted Interventions and Gifted and Talented Programmes. Both are designed to raise attainment, improve confidence, and ensure that every student is supported and challenged appropriately.
Targeted Interventions
Our targeted intervention programme focuses on students who find maths particularly challenging and need structured, individualised support to make progress. Working closely with schools, we use assessment data and teacher feedback to identify specific areas of weakness and tailor sessions accordingly.
Each intervention block is carefully planned, with lessons that are curriculum-aligned, skills-focused, and designed to rebuild mathematical confidence step by step. We place a strong emphasis on developing number fluency, problem-solving skills, and exam technique to ensure tangible improvements in both classwork and assessment performance.
Sessions can be delivered in small groups or one-to-one, offering a flexible approach that integrates seamlessly with the school’s timetable and existing support structure. Our goal is to help every student close their knowledge gaps and achieve the grades they’re truly capable of.

Gifted and Talented
Our Gifted and Talented Programme is designed for high-achieving students who are ready to go beyond grade 7 and push up into those 8's and 9's. These sessions challenge students to think critically, reason mathematically, and apply their knowledge to unfamiliar and complex problems.
We incorporate elements of enrichment and competition-style maths, helping students build resilience, creativity, and advanced problem-solving skills. The programme also introduces GCSE concepts that often aren't covered in-depth in top set classes, nurturing long-term mathematical ability and preparing students for top grades, further study, and academic competitions.
By extending students beyond classroom expectations, we aim to foster a genuine passion for the subject and equip them with the skills and mindset needed to excel in future academic challenges.
